Where do we even begin… just when we thought Coachella couldn’t get any better, somehow the 2024 festival topped any other! Accompanied by two of our favourite iconic duos ~ familiar faces from Byron, Neri and Manu {some of you may know them through their own brand Ottway the Label} and Aimee and Chelsea, our friends who joined us all the way from New York City {known for their eclectic style and seamlessly creative content concepts}!
After hearing of the cancellations of two of our favourite local music festivals back home, Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival, it was a sign of reassurance to see so many festival goers dancing to their favourite artists at the sold-out first weekend of Coachella, Indio California.
Was it just us or did everyone feel as though the live performances completely stepped it up a level this year? From being completely enchanted by Lana Del Rey’s stage presence wearing glitzy Dolce & Gabbana costumes {this one had us feeling a little nostalgic from our time spent with her in our Byron store many moons ago} to a nod back to the 2000’s with a performance that quite literally felt like a slap in the face {in the best way possible} by No Doubt and surprise guest Olivia Rodrigo ~ each artist had us in complete and utter awe!
Some of you may have noticed us sneak peeking our upcoming collection at the festival, some exciting styles that will be yours oh so soon… what did you have your eye on? We felt completely at home with the resurgence of boho chic hitting the festival grounds, a trend {or should we say lifestyle} that never really left but this year felt stronger than ever. Noticeable moments that we couldn’t take our eyes off of included pops of suede, lace and when it came to accessories, it was a more is more kind of situation!
Whilst the memories from Coachella 2024 will be living rent free in our brains for the foreseeable future, it’s time we sign off and wave goodbye to another year of desert dancing and festival fashion. Just 357 sleeps, but who’s counting!?
Love always, Team Spell xx
