We were alone in a vast sea of parched ochre-red earth ~ sunlight grazed the corrugated iron roof of the Red Hill Motel and a lone kangaroo looked curiously on as Shanina Shaik strutted, kicking up a cloud of dust. WE WERE HOME.

Never before has one of our campaign shoots touched in so close to our Australian roots. It’s been a dream of ours to pay homage to our beloved Australia by shooting on home-soil – so we are beyond proud to unveil REVOLVER.

When designing the collection our mood boards, already peppered with old Ralph Lauren campaigns, were filled with imagery from Australian classics like The Man from Snowy River and Picnic at Hanging Rock. We immersed ourselves in old-world romance and dusty Australian landscapes, so I think Revolver was always destined to come to life in the dusty town of Silverton, way out west in outback New South Wales.

The collection is bold and feminine (our fave combo ever) with playful flourishes of electric-tangerine floral, dusty tones of blues and pinks and of course luxe-lace, all of which were offset perfectly by the ochre-red Australian landscape and crisp blue skies.

Shanina Shaik. What can we say. This powerhouse of a babe, soft and warm and gracious, but sassy as hell and tough enough to own the shit out of that vast landscape ~ she rocked the collection so hard! She was a dream to work with (check our behind the scenes film here!) and was still smiling even when we asked her to walk through a dust storm in that sheer body-con lace Rosamond dress!

But seriously, we were shooting in the middle of NOWHERE!! And yes there were a few Wolf Creek jokes flying around… On wrapping, the sun sank behind the horizon darkness enveloped the landscape almost immediately – we quickly became disoriented and frightened that we wouldn’t be able to find the road back to town. We rushed to our cars and turned on the high beams, searching, eyes squinted, for the road which had evaporated in the darkness. As images of Wolf Creek flashed through our mind we eventually found the road and started the journey back to civilization. As we drove back to our humble little motel, the stars twinkled and the desert came to life ~ kangaroos, emus, foxes and wombats saluted us by the side of the road, a veritable wildlife guard of honour.
