New Zealand was such an inspiration with its natural beauty, and epic pops of colour. We couldn’t get enough of shooting Bella from the Mystic campaign, and had build a really great bond while driving around and shooting. So we thought we’d do a test shoot! It was cool to shoot her in that setting ~ really showing off her features and movement. We didn’t have much time, awaking early before our flight, even after a huge three days of the Mystic campaign.
The results are really cool – Photographer, Jamie Green.

Now Ash Penfold shares her top beauty tips below
What are your top tips for skin prep for a makeup look?
I like to prep the skin with Bioderma to remove any dirt or sweat so I have a clean base, then massage in Charlotte Tilbury magic cream then a generous layer of Ultra Violette spf+50.
THOSE brows! How did you achieve it?
I spray a little Mac Fix+ into BrowKo brow soap and with a spoolie I backcomb the brow hairs then as it gets drier I comb them into place pressing down with my finger to create a feathery brow.
What is your fave makeup trend right now?
I love really seeing the skin, and using lots of cream products. Seeing a few imperfections is beautiful and more interesting. And adding a few freckles always is fresh.
What is your holy grail product in your kit?
So hard to choose one… I love NudeStix Terracotta Tan cream stick. It’s so beautiful on so many skin tones and I use it on eyes lips and cheeks.. (a little tip, I use it over the bridge of the nose to give a pretty sun kissed look.)
What is a low cost accessible product that is an amazing must have? The Mecca Max single shadows. They are so pigmented and a blend so nice. I also like to use a dark shadow with an angle brush to make a soft liner.
What did you love about working with Bella?
Everything! The sweetest human that didn’t mind getting up super early with me. Travelling with her, making playlists in the car while reading tripping through the beautiful South Island of NZ.. and her amazing skin and short wavy dark hair was a dream to work with.
Any last tips? Always take time to wake the skin up with massage and illuminating moisturisers. Use cream bronzers and highlighters to give life to the face and to keep it from looking dull.
The creativity kept flowing after the shoot, with Jamie printing, and re-scanning the images giving us vintage beauty mag vibes.
